The productive partnership between Ford and Mazda took place in the early 1990s. In fact, Mazda was just one of the foreign car companies that Ford was snatching up at a very fast pace. The saying goes, “If you can’t beat the competition, then join them.” Ford was using a strategy that with a stronger force of vehicles, it could control more of the market. They were worried about both GM and Dodge at that time so they were doing what they could to grow and give them staying power.

Swapping of names on the vehicles from Ford to Mazda has been common. For example, the small Ford pickup known as the Ranger was then known as the Mazda B Series. For a decade ranging from 1991 to 2001, the popular Ford Explorer was marketed as the Mazda Navajo.

What you will find is that many of the production methods used in Ford and Mazda vehicles are identical. In fact, you can often swap out parts on these types of vehicles with each other. They will operate the same and perform the same functions, it’s just that the vehicles have different names. This dynamic partnership is one that quickly allowed both Ford and Mazda to generate more sales and to stay on top of their market. They were not losing as many consumers to other manufacturers as they had been.

The productive partnership of Ford and Mazda is still going strong. In 2006 they introduced three new vehicles under the Mazda umbrella. All three of them are doing very well. So are numerous models of the Ford lineup. Consumers often don’t realize that this strong relationship exists. Many believe that without it, both Ford and Mazda would be out of production today instead of being one of the top contenders in the automobile market.

The 1975 Ford Granada is believed to have been one of the best cars of that time period. It was a great-looking, two-door vehicle that was perfect for a family. However, it also gave the impression of style. A parent didn’t have to give up a nice looking vehicle to drive to work or anywhere else in order to get something that would accommodate all of their family members.

The stylish grill on this vehicle also was appealing. It was replicated after the very popular Mercedes Benz. Of course, most people couldn’t afford to go out and buy a Mercedes, but that didn’t mean that they could not enjoy some of the features of the body design of such a great vehicle. The 1975 Ford Granada offered them the chance to get something that was upscale in appearance for a very good price that fit their budget.

The Ford Granada quickly became one of the best-selling vehicles of 1975. Ford hit the nail on the head in terms of offering consumers exactly what they were looking for. Experts thought that the Gran Torino was going to cause problems for sales of the Granada but they were wrong. The market out there was diverse enough for both of these vehicles to do quite well that year.

The handling of the 1975 Ford Granada was also a winner in the eyes of consumers. They loved the interior design in terms of comfort and layout. There was plenty of leg room and head room, too. They had a large trunk for carrying items and it handled nicely on the curves. It was a great introduction and still considered one of the best vehicles that Ford has ever offered.

Ford was one of the big car producers that put a lot of classic muscle cars on the road during the height of the muscle car era. This was not something new for Ford, who has been putting classic cars on the road for as long as cars have been in production. That trend continues as Ford leads the way in innovation in the automotive industry, so when Ford produced the Crown Victoria, it was just a long line in a legacy of classic cars from this industry-leading automaker.

The Ford Crown Victoria commands some serious investment in the classic car market because its original production run was so short. The production of the Ford Crown Victoria between 1955 and 1956 produced a small supply of highly prized collector classic cars.

It was easy to tell the difference between the Crown Victoria and the model that Ford called the Victoria. The steel band that ran along the roof line looked very much like a crown which added significance to the name. There were also other flourishes to the body design, such as a two-toned paint job and rounded lights that made it the kind of car that turned heads on the street. The V8 engine gave the Ford Crown Victoria plenty of power and the solid construction made it a vehicle of choice for police cars for many years.

Like many classic cars, the love for the vehicle developed stronger after it went out of production. The original Ford Crown Victoria did not initially explode, which caused Ford to limit the production life of the original series. Of course, this short original run had two effects on the way the car is viewed today.

The first effect was to create a highly active classic and collectors’ market for the original Ford Crowd Victoria. The second effect was to encourage Ford to revisit the classic car. The outcome was that in 1979, Ford came out with the LTD Crown Victoria to energize the market all over again. This was a smart move because well into the 1980s, the LTD Crown Victoria enjoyed steady sales in the private sector and for use as a police car. While the model continued to see refinements to keep it current with the rest of the market, the LTD Crown Victoria enjoyed a long production life well into the 1990s.

When you become a collector of a classic Ford muscle car, it is a passion that does not end when you make the purchase and store your prized possession in the garage. The relationship between the owner of a classic muscle car and that vintage vehicle is a love affair that continues after the purchase and includes careful and faithful maintenance of the your classic Ford car.

While much of that maintenance is routine stuff like changing the oil and keeping your classic Ford clean, from time to time, repairs are needed. To complete those repairs you need a reliable supply of classic Ford parts. Finding those parts may seem like quite a challenge. It may not be so difficult, however, if you know where to look.

The good news is that parts for classic Ford muscle cars are not as difficult to find as those for other makes and models of classic cars because Ford produced so many cars over the last four decades. Because classic Ford muscle cars were tremendously popular, there were a lot of them sold during the classic muscle car era. Therefore, the availability of parts is not as tight as if you were investing in a less well-known brand of classic muscle car.

As is true of many kinds of commerce, you can find online sources for classic Ford parts that can serve as a dependable resource for you. Like any other time you shop online, it is important that you deal with reputable merchants who have a proven track record and who will provide proper online security when you pay by credit card on their sites. Not only can you find great deals on the Internet for classic Ford parts, you can find great prices provided by dealers who have access to quality classic Ford parts and who keep an ample supply. They can become a reliable resource for the needs that come up in taking good care of this prized classic Ford muscle car you own.

Of course, the local auto parts store is there primarily to provide fairly common auto parts for contemporary vehicles. However, don’t overlook this resource because if you go to the local auto parts store and tell them what you are looking for, they may be networked with local classic car parts dealers who can find the part you need.

In many cases, networking is your best skill for finding classic Ford parts locally or regionally. You can also network at classic car shows or with local car restoration experts as they will be knowledgeable on how you can find classic Ford parts. As you can see, the resources for finding classic Ford muscle car parts are far more abundant than is obvious. By building your resource list for where to find classic Ford parts, you will be able to quickly get repairs and upgrades done on your classic Ford muscle car.
